Laser therapy is a non-invasive procedure that uses light energy (photons) to stimulate cell regeneration and increase blood circulation. It is proven to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, improve healing and nerve function.

Laser therapy is recommended for a variety of conditions, including:

  • Lick granulomas, hotspots and skin infections

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Intervertebral disk disease (IVDD)

  • Hip or elbow dysplasia

Myotherapy & Rehabilitation

Myotherapy uses massage and exercise prescriptions to improve your dog’s mobility.

Myotherapy helps break the cycle of chronic pain by improving blood circulation, improving muscle elasticity, and reducing muscle spasms.

Most orthopedic (musculoskeletal) conditions respond well to myotherapy, including:

  • Arthritis

  • Hip dysplasia

  • Weak hind legs or scuffing of the hind legs

  • Neck or back pain

  • Poor mobility or lameness

  • Recovery from orthopedic surgery

Laura is the current Canine Myotherapist/Massage contractor at The Happy Dog Hub.  Her professional Myotherapy qualification was obtained through The National College of Traditional Medicine (NCTM), now known as the Animal Naturopathic Medicine Educatum (ANME). 

 Laura is also the current President of the Small Animal and Equine Naturopathic Association (SAENA).

 Laura is currently completing her Certificate 4 in vet nursing course with Melbourne Polytechnic (Fairfield campus). 

Previously Laura has spent many years working with The Department of Agriculture as a Biosecurity Officer.

 Laura has a particular interest in helping senior dogs, IVDD and cruciate ligament repair cases improve their mobility and assist them live with arthritic changes. 

Laura is also a Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) CAMAdvocate and has completed an online training course as they are UK based!

 Laura strongly believes in the Multimodel approach to assisting animals with pain management and she is looking forward to helping your dog at The Happy Dog Hub and collaborating with the Vets, Nurses, at Thornbury Vet Clinic to improve the health and happiness of your beloved dog and liaising with Nicole the Manager and groomers at the Happy Dog Hub.

Dr Seina has completed her Certification in Veterinary Natural Nutrition which fills in the gap of knowledge from mainstream nutrition philosophy which focuses on prepared pet foods. A balanced viewpoint is taken, along with an evidence based approach in the interests of animal health and wellbeing.
